One More: A Innovative Faucet for Efficient Kitchen Work

Revolutionizing Kitchen Design with the One More Faucet

The One More faucet is a groundbreaking design that aims to enhance efficiency and functionality in the kitchen. Designed by Mitra Mohammad Hosseini Sisakht, this innovative faucet takes inspiration from paper clips to create a compact and versatile solution for small kitchens.

One of the busiest areas in any kitchen is the washing section. Recognizing this, Mitra Mohammad Hosseini Sisakht conceptualized the One More faucet to address the need for a second water source. The goal was to make cooking and washing easier and faster for multiple individuals working simultaneously in the kitchen, particularly in small spaces.

The unique feature of the One More faucet lies in its dual-spout design, allowing for multiple users or two-part sinks. Despite its functionality, the faucet occupies minimal space and can be adjusted in height to accommodate different user needs.

One More faucet incorporates cutting-edge technology to provide a touchless experience. Hand gestures in front of sensors located on each spout activate or deactivate the water flow, eliminating the need for physical contact. The touch screen in the middle of the two spouts displays the amount of water flow in each spout, promoting awareness of daily water consumption and management. Users can also control the usability of one or both taps to prevent unwanted use.

The construction of the One More faucet involves pipe bending, hydroforming, CNC lathe, and soldering for the handles and body. The spout is made of brass, while the sprayer is crafted from ABS plastic. The faucet is available in various finish materials, ensuring compatibility with different kitchen aesthetics.

With dimensions of 19 cm width, 4.5 cm depth, and 35 cm height, the One More faucet offers a compact yet functional solution for kitchen spaces of all sizes.

The design process for the One More faucet began in 2020, with the final details being refined in early spring 2021 in Isfahan, Iran. The main objective was to provide a solution for small kitchens that struggle to accommodate a second sink and faucet, as well as an additional plumbing system.

Mitra Mohammad Hosseini Sisakht faced several challenges during the design process. The primary hurdle was creating a compact faucet suitable for small kitchens while meeting the diverse needs of customers. Additionally, integrating modern technologies into the faucet design was crucial to ensure optimal functionality.

The One More faucet has garnered recognition in the design industry, receiving the Iron A' Design Award in the Kitchen Furniture, Equipment, and Fixtures Design category in 2022. This prestigious award celebrates well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The One More faucet stands out for its ability to integrate industry best practices, competent technical characteristics, and a commitment to a better world.
